Spyderco Tenacious R.I.L. Titanium Blue

Long the flagship of Spyderco’s Value Folder family, the incredibly popular Tenacious® was created to provide all the signature qualities of a Spyderco CLIPIT® design in a budget-friendly format. More recently, this best-selling design has also evolved to include upscale versions showcasing high-performance materials and enhanced features. The Tenacious R.I.L. elevates the design to all-new heights by expressing it with titanium handle scales and an ultra-reliable Reeve Integral Lock™ (R.I.L.) mechanism. Meticulously crafted from solid 6AL4V titanium, the scales have precision-machined recesses on their interior surfaces to minimize weight and are color anodized a brilliant blue. The reverse-side scale is machined to create an integral lock bar that forms the basis of the knife’s R.I.L., or “frame lock.” It includes an inlaid stainless steel interface that ensures a positive lock-up and a long service life, as well as functioning as an overtravel stop during lock release. The business end of this remarkable knife features a full-flat ground, PlainEdge™ blade crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. Its fully accessible Trademark Round Hole™ provides swift, ambidextrous, one-hand opening and unmistakably identifies the knife’s Spyderco pedigree. To ensure convenient carry and immediate access, the handle includes a broad-based pocket clip that can be mounted in four different positions to provide a choice of left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry. The Tenacious R.I.L. is available in two versions&mdashone with a satin-finished blade and brightly finished handle hardware and one with a black-oxide-coated blade and matching black-coated hardware.
